Exercise Helps to Reduce Stress
Stress is something we all experience at times – and finding ways to manage it is extremely important for good mental and emotional health.
Intense workouts release feel-good hormones called endorphins. Whether you work out at the gym or at home, you get the same mental health benefits.

I had the honor of training jiu jitsu with Charlie Vinch one-on-one for two hours. He is an amazing practitioner and a super warm and welcoming person. I was visiting from out of town, and Charlie always made me feel super welcome. He was also incredibly considerate in his training with me. He is clearly in good shape and very strong, yet I could tell that he was holding back on his strength not cranking on things to make sure I was comfortable while we were training together. I can only assume that he provides this level of care and consideration to all of his students at Budo Martial Arts Studio.
Ok, let's be completely honest here, as a woman, training jiu jitsu can be awkward at first. But Charlie has a real knack for making people feel comfortable in potentially uncomfortable situations. And subsequently, he creates a training environment with a welcoming energy full of welcoming people, both men and women. There is an immense amount of support and technical knowledge flowing through Budo, and it is invaluable to those looking to progress.
Great studio, the owner is super cool and very easy going. Classes are amazing and the teachers are extremely knowledgeable. The teachers are also very laid back and friendly. The people in the classes are awesome and it’s more of a group of friends training than it is everyone going hard and trying to hurt each other.
The moment I stepped foot on the mats there, I was warmly greeted by everyone at Budo Martial Arts. Jim and Charlie are the friendliest coaches and make you feel right at home. The coaches are with you all the way to support you and help you grow and learn. For BJJ or Muay Thai/MMA, I'd definitely recommend checking out this school :)
